Workshop dates with availability: MARCH 25TH 2011, JUNE 1OTH 2011 AND SEPTEMBER 16TH 2011. To be held in the beautiful Suffolk countryside at Iken Barns. This is a superb location overlooking the Alde estuary with views towards Snape and Aldeburgh. The workshop is suitable for those people who are new to DSLR photography and want to get the most out of such camera. The workshop will be in two parts:
The first part in the morning will explain the common controls and functions of modern DSLR cameras, inluding aperture/shutter priority, ISO settings, file formats (Jpeg, Tiff and Raw) adjusting the white balance, focussing, image size, exposure compenstaion and metering modes. Using the camera settings and controls will be undertaken initially inside where you will be encouraged to change the camera settings and modes and see what effects they have on your photographs. The workshop is very much hands on with your own camera.
The second part of the workshop will be outdoors, in and around the picturesque area of Iken and Snape. You will be taken to locations that offer excellent opportunities for you to practice using your camera and its settings. Construction feedback on composition and technical skills will be given during the day. Your best photograph taken on the day will be printed for you to take home. The workshops start at 09.30, so please arrive at 09.15 so we can begin promptly and will finish at 16.30. Please remember suitable clothing and footwear. A sandwich lunch will be provided at Snape Maltings at approx 13.00-13.30. Tea and coffee will be available. The price for the course is £125.00 per person and is payable in advance upon booking.
